Railroads Photographed

I stick to the states above ^. I mostly stick around inside of the perimeter of the black line, but I will venture out for travel off of the black line's branches and go even further for vacations.

I prefer to sub divide this section into the types of railroads I frequent. organizing will make for easier navigation.

Railroad Classes

Railroad Operations

There are multiple places that I go to to get information of railroads of all kinds and their operation times.

This website can be useful l if their info is up to date, A-Z seaching for all 3 types of railroad by state.

https://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

Another great source of info is from facebook groups that make communities around specific railroads.

Railroad Rosters

Ther are likely tons of non up to date or complete rosters of rail equpment on websites out there. Many high profile companies have theirown made by fans. The best in terms of info I've found are on this website, class 1 2 and 3 roailroad rosters.

https://www.thedieselshop.us/

The best website for photos along side railroad rosters with more than 1 railroad company on it has to be this website:

https://www.rrpicturearchives.net/railroadList.aspx

I have also included a website for searching for locomoitves built by the company EMD, when i search locomitive rosters, the serial number of a locomotive helps a railfan track a train's journey across railroad companies. Her is the website:

Free Gift

In 2021 I put together a symbols list for AVR - Allegheny Valley Railroad. The Information should still be mostly up to date, the info that isn't is likely tied to businesses coming and going. The list is free to use and modify.
